Beef mince, also known as ground beef, is a versatile and economical cut of beef that is made by grinding the beef into small pieces. It can be used in a variety of dishes, such as burgers, meatballs, tacos, spaghetti bolognese, and chili. Storage: Keep frozen at -18°C or below
Cooking instructions
1. Preheat the Skillet: Heat a skillet (cast iron or non-stick) over medium-high heat.
2. Add the Beef: Place the frozen block of ground beef in the hot pan.
3. Cook the First Side: Let the beef cook undisturbed for about 4 minutes to allow the bottom to brown and the heat to begin thawing the other side
4. Flip and Scrape: Use a spatula to flip the block of beef, then scrape off the browned, cooked portion and push it to the side of the pan.
5. Continue the Process: Repeat the process of flipping, scraping, and breaking the meat into smaller pieces until all the beef is browned and crumbled.
6. Season: Add salt, spices, and sauces, then continue to cook until the beef is fully cooked and reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
7. Drain (Optional): If there is excessive fat, you can drain it before serving
