cooking instructions, air fryer,
To cook frozen cordon bleu in an air fryer, preheat the air fryer to 370°F (190°C) and cook for 17 to 20 minutes. Since cooking times can vary by brand and air fryer model, you should check for doneness with a meat thermometer.
Instructions for air frying frozen cordon bleu
- Remove the frozen cordon bleu from its packaging. You do not need to thaw it.
- Optional: Use a parchment paper liner to help prevent the cheese from sticking to the air fryer basket.
- Place the cordon bleu in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure not to overcrowd it. This ensures even cooking and crisping.
- Air fry at 370°F (190°C) for 17 to 20 minutes.
- Halfway through the cooking time, check the cordon bleu. If needed, you can use tongs to flip it to ensure even browning, though some sources suggest it's not necessary.
- For a crispy top, some people lightly spray the cordon bleu with a little oil.
- Check the internal temperature with an instant-read thermometer. It should reach at least 165°F (74°C).
- Once cooked, use tongs to remove the cordon bleu from the basket.
- Let it rest for about 5 minutes before serving. This allows the cheese to set and the juices to redistribute.
